Here are some of the special people that make up our local beekeeping community

Ted Mullins

I started beekeeping in 1991 after spending four years in the Air Force. My wife Debi said my father Bill Mullins was too old to be doing it by himself, at the time I believe he was 57, he finally gave up the day to day work 3 years ago, apparently he wasn’t that old after all. Beekeeping has been part time for me, currently I help my brother in Bills Honey Farm, hopefully in 3 years I can make it my full time job , after retirement as a school teacher. Attached are some pictures of my grandchildren, one that put a net over his head and said that was his bee suit, the other two that have actually helped me, and some students that I worked with at Jemison who came out last summer to conquer their fear of bees.
